At the beginning of the 20th century, Edward, a colonial official of the British Empire, was stationed in the distant East. He took a train from Yangon to Mandalay and waited for his fianc é e Molly to arrive by boat. Unexpectedly, as the steamship was about to dock, he lost his courage and jumped onto the ship bound for Singapore, leaving hastily. Nevertheless, Edward's cowardly actions did not deter Molly, but instead staged a journey of chasing after each other, crossing Siam, Saigon, Manila, Osaka, Shanghai, Chongqing, and Chengdu, embarking on a series of explorations and pursuits on the unfamiliar Far Eastern continent.
