Plot summary of the abandoned city······
A 16-year-old boy named Xiao Shu, who is homeless, truant, and bullied on the streets, cannot face his own difficulties and considers himself a garbage. Therefore, he escapes to the abandoned city and happily turns himself into garbage, hiding comfortably in the abandoned city. Xiaoshu's only friend, Abao, is a 30-year-old tattered plastic belt, but he never admits to being garbage and thinks of himself as a boy. He tries his best to escape from the abandoned city and aspires to lead the group of waste to find the legendary recycling site of his tribe, starting his imagined life.
To escape, Abao must fight against the armored garbage truck, so Abao needs the help of Xiaoshu. However, Xiaoshu, who is attached to the abandoned city, wants to keep his friends by his side and in the abandoned city. On the surface, he agrees to help Abao, but in private, he spreads the news and attempts to sabotage Abao's escape plan. Unexpectedly, Xiaoshu's betrayal leads to Abao's arrest during his escape and he faces the only death penalty of being sent to the incinerator. His friends not only cannot stay, but also have to be permanently separated. Xiaoshu realizes that he has caused a big disaster, and in a strong sense of guilt, Xiaoshu must risk his life to rescue Abao and embark on a second escape.
Xiaoshu resisted the iron armored garbage truck and rescued Abao alone. Finally, she escaped from the abandoned city and arrived in Taipei City, escorting Abao to the legendary recycling site of her tribe. The moment of departure truly arrived, and Xiaoshu watched Abao and other waste enter the recycling site, finding a chance for regeneration and embarking on a new journey in life. Xiaoshu also began to ask herself where her recycling site was? Where is the opportunity for self regeneration? Xiaoshu looks forward to the future. If they meet again, they will both have a brand new life.
